Boise - The Idaho Task Force of Veterans for Political Innovation will join other Open Primary coalition partners in support of the lawsuit against Attorney General Labrador to prevent his efforts to politicize and mislead Idahoans about the pending electoral reform initiative.

Last Friday, Attorney General Raúl Labrador issued ballot titles for the Open Primaries Initiative, a recently-filed ballot initiative that would end closed primary elections and give Idaho voters the right to participate in primary elections regardless of party affiliation.

A coalition of community groups and civic organizations has formed to file a citizen ballot initiative that aims to give Idahoans the freedom to vote in open, nonpartisan primary elections.
